Melissa Peitzsche, RMT (Claimable With Insurance)
Melissa graduated in 2016 from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC. There she completed the 3011 hour program and developed a passion for helping people through a variety of Massage Therapy and Osteopathic techniques. Some of these techniques that Melissa learned about, inspired her to further her education by taking courses for Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, and Neuromenigeal Manipulation. These are all techniques that get to the root of the issue, and can stimulate the body to heal itself, therefore having a long lasting and often permanent effect. "Osteopathic Manipulation stimulates the organism to mount its own defenses and to draw from its own reserves; The Manipulation is no subtitute for the body's own power" Visceral Manipulation Revised Edition, Jean-Pierre Barral & Pierre Mercier While Melissa still enjoys using traditional Massage Therapy Techniques, she finds there are much longer lasting results when combining Massage Therapy with Osteopathic Techniques. Melissa is hoping to spread the word about Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy so that more people can benefit from it. Melissa started working as a RMT in Elkford, BC in 2016, then made the move to be near family in Grande Prairie, AB in 2017; she has remained working in Grande Prairie since then. In December of 2022, she opened up Heartsong Massage Therapy & Wellness Centre in Grande Prairie, AB, and is excited to see it grow into whatever God has planned for the business. On a personal note, Melissa is a faithful Christian, and strives for being that every day. In 2022, Melissa became a foster parent of two incredible children, and showing them and teaching them the love of God is her other main goal. She enjoys spending time with family and challenging her brain to learn more about the body and other useful techniques that will help people achieve their therapeutic goals.
