Complete Decongestive Therapy requires you to book in for a consultation to see if CDT is the best and safest way to proceed with the Edema or Lymphedema you are experiencing.  

CDT Phase 1 consists of daily skin, wound and self-care, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Compression Bandaging, education and exercise.  

Phase 1 is the intense decongestive phase in which treatments and bandaging are required 5x per week for 2-4 weeks for the best results.  Followed by 1-2 weeks of 2-3x weekly treatments while we wait for your custom compression daytime garments to arrive. Duration of treatment time and amount of visits may vary depending on the person's specific presentation and compliance with exercise and bandage wearing.

Phase 2 is the Maintenance Phase!  This means we have achieved a desired amount of decongestion and you are managing the Lymphedema with compression garments, exercise, Self-MLD, continued skin and wound care, and you are coming in for a follow-up session every 6 months or sooner if you feel you would like to.  You will feel confident that you can call your Certified Lymphedema Therapist when needed with any questions or concerns as we want you to succeed with your treatments and self-care.
